DESCRIPTION:
Scorpion-II/145 two-seat helicopter. Built approx.
1980.
Originally a Scorpion-II, this
helicopter comes with a major upgrade: a 145hp 4-cycle RotorWay
Exec RW145hp engine (partially mounted). This replacement
engine was recently run (July 2022) and runs very well. The drive train and clutch
are enhanced for the more powerful RW145 engine. The helicopter
recently hovered (May 2022) using the original Evinrude (see the video
link, above).
Total operational time per Hobbs meter: 10 hours. Helicopter
is complete. Has aluminum main and tail rotorblades, instrumentation,
ground-handling wheels, build prints and construction/flight
manuals. Helicopter is extremely clean; no rust or corrosion;
very good overall condition. Always stored
indoors. Paint scheme: green with red trim exterior, black
seats. Located in Pennsylvania. Owner selling
because of busy schedue.
