Kit is complete
except for the engine*, propellor and instruments.
Propellor
(not included): typically, a 2-bladed, fixed-pitch 62"
(max.) propeller is used, such as an Airmaster AP433CT.
Other fixed-pitch or constant-speed propellers may be used
with a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC).
The fuselage, wing spar, horizontal stabilizer, canopy and header tank have already been fabricated and inspected by an experienced composite A&P mechanic.
Kit comes with all hydraulic tubing and hoses, AN fittings, actuators, motors for retractable gear and wheel doors, plus all hardware, wires, hinges and rods for flight controls.
Retractable-gear mechanism is completed. Electro-hydraulic system still needs to be installed.
All wiring, actuators, switches, gauges, tubing, AN fittings, lamps are included.
Fuel capacity: 34 gallons (tanks included).
Because of the
"double joggle" design of the composite body, all seams are hidden, so hardly any body work needs to be done.
You spray on the new high-hide primer from Aircraft Spruce and sand it down, then paint.
The double-joggle design creates a flush surface and ensures a smooth, uniform outer skin, minimizing drag, Also adds structural reinforcement, strength and stability.
The wing
spars have been set up and meticulously installed.
All necessary assembly manuals, drawings and technical bulletins are included.
Obtain and install engine, propellor and instruments
(a glass panel is most commonly used).
The wings
and incorporated tanks need to be fabricated.
The
horizontal stabilizer and rudder need to be fabricated.
The
seats, instrument panel, pedals, flight controls, rods and
wires, and electro-hydraulic system for landing gear need to
be installed.
Canopy
has been fabricated yet needs to be installed with the kit's
supplied actuators (struts).
Wiring for nav
and anti-collision Lights need to be installed. Radio and
transponder antenae (not included) need to be installed in
wings and fuselage.
Final steps include sanding and painting.
Estimated time to finish assembling kit: about 500 hours.
