The parts sold by Vortech incorporate improvements over the original design. For example, we offer a greatly improved tail-rotor mechanism, utilizing a shaft drive instead of belt drive. See the Choppy page for specs of the original.

The complete Choppy kits sold by Vortech are available in 2 forms:
1. Ultralight Choppy. This kit includes a shaft-driven tailrotor, a cog-belt drive system and a Rotax 503 engine. Price: $33,995 complete
2. Experimental Choppy. This kit also includes a shaft-driven tailrotor, but instead of the cog-belt drive system it uses a gearbox; and instead of a Rotax 503 it uses a Hirth 3203 engine. A full cabin enclosure is standard. Price: $38,995 complete
